Every month, we'll celebrate one of our great teachers here at BHS.
April's Feature Teacher: Mrs. Blake
May's Feature Teacher: Mr. Iseminger

Who Am I?
I used to have a really long autobiography. Now that I am older and wiser, I realize there are only
a few things I can say about myself that really matter to anyone, including me. Those things include both personal and professional
ideals that have made me who I really am.
The things I value most in life are family, friends, God and country, my sense of honor in how I live
and how I do my job, nature and nurturing growing things (including students), books, technology and all the wonderful things
that alleviate the boredom that is inherent in being a Gemini.
Family that includes my husband, Blake. Our relationship is an old one (35 years) that is comfortable,
secure, and often heated and exciting. I never tire of time spent with a man who is loving, intelligent,
curious, and adventuresome. Family includes two wonderful children, Nathan and Amindia, and their spouses, Jennifer and Joel.
Finally, family includes two wonderful grandchildren, Victoria Elizabeth and Kirsten Ivy, and my cat, Kitty Rose.
I live in an old farmhouse we just bought and are working on in Germantown, Ohio. It is filled with
furniture that is like the Velveteen Rabbit; its fur has been loved off. It is old and comfortable with just a sprinkling
of new and unusual. I have five acres that will soon be garden.
Work has always been and will always be an integral part of who I am. I love children, I love teaching,
I love knowledge, and I love living my life in a way that will, hopefully, inspire the children with whom I am honored to
work.

Ladd Iseminger was born and raised in Constantine, MICHIGAN.
In high school, he took college-prep courses. During the summers, he worked at McDonalds and detassled corn.
For sports, he played safety in football, "2" guard in basketball, and was an all-area LF/P in baseball.
He was also named Academic All-League and involved in student government and his church youth group.
Following high school, Mr. I. attended Milligan College in Tennessee. It's a small university, similar
to Cedarville. He pitched for the baseball team and met his future wife, Emily. He graduated with a business degree in Marketing
and was employed by Sears for three years.
He and his wife were married in 1998 and moved back north when Emily landed a teaching job for Northridge.
Mr. I. finished his teaching certificate at Wright State and has been teaching at Belmont for three years. He also led Meadowdale
baseball to a second place league finish last year.
Mr. I. enjoys 50 Cent and G-Unit (yeah right!). He attends about 10-15 Reds games a year. His parents
are both teachers (retiring this year), and he and his dad make summer trips each year.
Mr. Iseminger loves to golf and read (and also agitate students, who are Ohio State
fans, about Michigan by pouring out books upon books about the University as well as its sports teams). His favorite
authors are John Grisham, Stephen Covey, Tom Clancy and Max Lucado. He also enjoys books about Sherlock Holmes. He and his
wife have a two-year-old, Kelsey, and a boy due in September. They reside in Huber Heights.
